 The Happy & Engaged Team Summit is a 2-day event, taking place from May 15-16, 2023 that will help managers, supervisors and leaders reduce turnover, build a positive workplace culture, and foster employee engagement for improved organizational performance.

Let’s do a quick rundown of how this event will work.

The summit will run from May 15 to May 16, 2023. Presentations will include up to 25 minutes of content (with up to a 3-minute freebie/offer pitch). In our initial conversations we would have discussed the two styles of presentations that will occur in the summit:

1. Interview style

2. Workshop style

About 1/2 of the presentations will be of one style, while the other half will be of the other. We do this for a variety of reasons, will the most important reason being to keep our audience engaged. If you are interview style, we will book out a 30 minute slot to record. If you are workshop style, we will book a 5-10 minute intro to record for your workshop.

To ensure maximum value for Lighthouse All-Access Pass recipients, each presentation will have a worksheet offered to the audience, this will be required in the ‘what I need from you’ section.

While the presentations themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are asked to attend their presentation time live to interact with attendees in the chat-box. There is no video component, so attendance in pjs is recommended 😉

Along with the live presentations, there will be a LinkedIn Group for attendees to hang out in, hold each other accountable, and ask questions. If attendees have good questions while your presentation is going on, you’ll be able to go live in the LinkedIn group for a bit of an encore to answer those questions, connect with the attendees, and provide even more value.

Note: The additional LinkedIn live is not required. Attendees are typically very enthusiastic coming out of a workshop and it’s a great opportunity to truly grow your authority and reach.

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have three weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! I’ll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy to outsource to a VA.

Here’s the truth, to make this event as successful as possible, we need numbers. And while, myself and my team will go above and beyond to make this event a success, a few simple encouraging posts and emails out to your network can do a world of good. PLUS, it makes all of this that much more worth it for you!

During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting the Lighthouse All-Access Pass. This includes an all-access pass for the replays, worksheets for each presentation, transcripts of all presentations, a private audio feed of the presentations, bonus live trainings, networking opportunities, bonus pdf’s, and a 30 day membership to the Lighthouse Leaders Circle. This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions. Yay!

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let me break it down! My goal is to make this all as easy as humanly possible, noting that this isn’t the only thing on your plate. By truly keeping it simple, we can all have a blast while providing great value, making massive impact and growing our reach.


The first thing I’ll need is some very basic information from you so I can finish up our registration page and speakers page.

Once you give me the thumbs up that you’re in, you will be forwarded the speakers agreement and then I’ll send you a link where you can upload all this information easily.


The next thing I’ll need is for you to schedule your presentation slot! Regardless of whether you are a interview style or workshop style, we still need to book that slot. (Slots are first-come first-served so if you have a tight schedule be sure to grab your spot right away)

While your presentation will be pre-recorded, you’ll still be asked to be present live during your time slot to answer questions and connect with attendees via the chat-box. During this slot, once your presentation has had time to air, you’ll also be able to jump into the LinkedIn Group for an encore and to answer any great questions that weren’t answered in your presentation. (These lives will also be added to the Lighthouse All-Access Pass.


Next up is your presentation! This is a 20-40 minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be high value, yet give the audience the true feeling of you. Friendly and casual is better than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to be able to walk away with tangible steps, tips and strategies, yet still have fun in the process. While this may be a summit for leaders of people, they are still humans…and humans need to be engaged. 

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they’ve really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they’re missing something that they need to buy from you asap.


With that being said, you have your choice of the following presentation formats:

    • Workshop-style
    • Interview-style with me
    • Slides
    • No slides (just your gorgeous/handsome face)
    • A mixture of the two

    I have a limited # of spots available for the interview style. Please chat with me previous to ensure I still have room. If we both agree that interview style is the fit you can schedule a time with me to do that here. We’ll work together to come up with questions. 

    No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future.


    Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s the suggested format:

      • A quick introduction
      • An overview of your topic
      • Where people go wrong with your topic and tend to overcomplicate it
      • Teaching section
      • Specific action steps (with the goal of simplifying their existing process)
      • Up to a 3-minute freebie/offer pitch
      • Include questions for attendees to answer in the chat box throughout to boost engagement


      Presentations/Interviews are due to be recorded at sent to me by April 10, 2023.


      If you do offer a freebie or pitch an offer in the final 3-minutes of your presentation. I will need you to forward the link for them to access this.

      The Lighthouse All-Access Pass will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to collect attendee email addresses, I’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. This includes things like:

      • Templates
      • Workbooks
      • Courses (big or small)
      • 1-month memberships
      • eBooks


      Note: I expect this to convert well so I do not recommend contributing any 1:1 offers.


      It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate.


      Anyone who does contribute a premium resource (aka not something you’re giving away for free somewhere else) will get a 50% affiliate commission on sales, rather than 40%. It’s also an opportunity to collect hundreds of extra email addresses as attendees claim your offer.


      Information for these resources is due on April 10, 2023. You’ll receive a questionnaire to fill out closer to that time to make passing the information to me nice and simple.


      1. PROMOTION

      The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.


      Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists during the promotion period, starting on April 24, 2023. I don’t make this mandatory, because well — it feels cheesy. What I’d rather is a strong group of collaborators that are driven to getting as many people leaders in attendance so we can as a collective make massive change in the organizational landscape.


      You’ll want to share using your affiliate link (which you can set up here) so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any Lighthouse All-Access Pass sales (50% if you’ve contributed a premium bonus). Note: This will be setup by March 15, 2023.

      And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!


      All I ask is that you participate in the chat during your presentation slot and interact in the LinkedIn Group throughout the days to help attendees stay excited and engaged. A draft agenda will be forwarded to you after signup so you can choose the timeslot that works best for you during the 2-day event.


      While you are not required to attend the events of other speakers, it’s highly encouraged! We’ll be able to get some great discussions going about the topics being presented.

      While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

      That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the Lighthouse All-Access Pass where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made by June 10th, 2023.

      The commission structure is as follows:

      • 40% for all speakers
      • 50% for all speakers who include a premium bonus 

      The pricing structure will be:

      • $87 for 20 minutes after initial registration
      • $127 from April 24th to May 14th, 2023
      • $197 from May 15th to May 25th, 2023

      To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads. 

      Just remember to use your affiliate link, which you can create here.

      As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.
